The epidemic of Covid19 had a significant impact on our educational system and learning processes, resulting in the closure of physical spaces in schools, colleges, and educational institutions. This closure ushered in online methods, giving rise to e-learning, or online learning, in which students are taught using a variety of online platforms.
This change to online learning had an impact on students, teachers, and parents. Academic of some kids have been interrupted by a decrease in family income, limited access to digital resources, and the high cost of internet connectivity. The acceptance of the online method of teaching and learning was initially difficult – as prior to Covid, the adoption of online technologies was limited. However, online learning has been found to be helpful in a few recent research.
Aside from negative consequences due to non-availability of school physical spaces, online learning has resulted in some long-term benefits and adjustments. For students, learning has become more individualized. It proved to be the most environmentally friendly and cost-effective way because it reduces the expense of transportation for students and teachers. It also put emphasis on self-learning – rather than being spoon fed.
The ongoing pandemic should be viewed as a golden opportunity for online education. e-learning overcomes geographical barriers and ensures safety. It allows for convenience and easy access to online learning materials 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Several colleges and schools have supported this opportunity to provide students with engaging and interactive lessons. At the moment, e-learning appears to be a viable solution for filling the void left by the absence of classroom learning.
With this abrupt shift away from the classroom, some are wondering if the adoption of online learning will continue after covid19.
